Sarah Chillot Electrocution Accident, Charlotte, NC Death, Obituary, Project Coordinator at Allana Buick & Bers, Inc. Has Died

Family, friends, and colleagues across Charlotte, North Carolina, and beyond are mourning the heartbreaking loss of Sarah Chillot, who died following an electrocution accident. Her passing has left an immeasurable void in the lives of those who knew and loved her, as tributes continue to highlight the compassion, creativity, and generosity that defined her life.

Originally from Morristown, New Jersey, Sarah built a life in Charlotte filled with meaningful work, lasting friendships, and an unwavering commitment to helping others. Since February 2022, she had served as a Project Coordinator at Allana Buick & Bers, Inc., where she was respected for her professionalism, attention to detail, and collaborative spirit.

Prior to that role, Sarah worked as a Process Assistant at Amazon and held several creative positions throughout her career, including graphic design roles with Community Marketing Service, Shutterfly, Pep Boys, and Catherines Plus Sizes. She also founded Hummus Among Us, reflecting both her entrepreneurial drive and passion for bringing people together. Earlier in her career, she completed an internship with Leverage Agency in New York City and even worked as a lifeguard and teacher in Burnham, Somerset, in the United Kingdom.

Sarah married the love of her life, TJ Chillot, on September 13, 2025. Although they had not yet celebrated their first wedding anniversary, those closest to them witnessed a relationship built on deep love, laughter, and unwavering support.

In a heartfelt tribute, TJ shared the depth of his loss.

“These have been the absolute hardest 48 hours of my life. On Tuesday night, the world lost one of the most beautiful, precious, personable people that it has ever known.”

He reflected on the memories they created during their five-and-a-half years together, writing that Sarah made his life better every single day. He also promised that their beloved dogs, Queenie and Maeve, would be cared for, adding, “I love you, until the day that I die.”

Friends also remembered Sarah as someone whose warmth was impossible to forget. Andrew Freeman described her as “a force of good in this world,” recalling her as a confidant, the life of every gathering, and someone whose personality shined through everything she did.

Sarah had an extraordinary love for animals and dedicated countless hours to fostering dogs in the Charlotte area. Friends estimate she fostered more than 200 dogs, helping many find safe, loving homes. Her compassion for animals became one of the defining aspects of her legacy.

A funeral service celebrating Sarah’s life is scheduled for Sunday, July 12, at 11:00 a.m. at Temple Beth El in Charlotte.

Though her life ended far too soon, Sarah Chillot leaves behind a legacy of kindness, creativity, generosity, and unconditional love. She will be remembered not only for her professional accomplishments but also for the countless lives she touched through friendship, service, and her remarkable ability to make others feel welcomed, valued, and loved.
